The incumbent of this task provides assistance, technical advice and training to Kuwait Air Force (KAF) personnel located on KAF and installations for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) specifics. More
RONCO Consulting Corporation is an international professional services firm specializing in humanitarian and commercial mine action and ordnance disposal, environmental remediation, security services, specialized training, canine detection, and post-conflict operations. We have immediate opportunities for specialists to provide in-theatre operational Explosive Ordnance Disposal and De-mining capabilities to coalition forces.
The incumbent will provide and/or support safe and effective area and emergency mine / UXO clearance operations in and around key infrastructure and Coalition-occupied areas. De-mining/UXO clearing shall be performed in accordance with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) and/or host nation mine action standards.
How to Keep and Protect Your Clearance!
Team Leaders:
•Will have at least 18-24 months experience in a United Nations accredited or coordinated humanitarian or equivalent de-mining operation
•Will have held positions using and deploying mine detection dogs with extensive experience in level 2 surveys and clearance operations as per the international de-mining standards
•De-mining experience in multiple countries; experience with the use of demolitions and knowledge of explosive ordnance disposal
•Experience with the use of demolitions and knowledge of explosive ordnance disposal
•Prior experience working in Afghanistan and/or Iraq is preferred
EOD Site Supervisors:
•Will have de-mining experience in multiple countries
•Experience with the use of demolitions and knowledge of explosive ordnance disposal
•Experience with NATO air and artillery-delivered CBU and other dud-fired ordnance, and IEDs
•Prior experience working in Afghanistan and/or Iraq is preferred.
Qualifications:
•Certification and work experience as an EOD Tech Level III or IV
•Recent/ relevant military experience in Iraq, and/or Afghanistan •Operational experience in:
•Security and / or peacekeeping initiatives
•Use of translator
•Prior work experience in an international security or peacekeeping organization desired
•Self reliant and able to work independently or as a part of a multi-cultural team
•Experience working in developing countries in remote locations, under austere living conditions, and challenging environments
•Must be able to deploy overseas for extended periods
•Cultural awareness, sensitivity and responsiveness to local environments
•Must have good working knowledge of the main programs within MS Office suite
•Fluency in other continental European languages a plus
Working Conditions:
•10 to 12-hour days, 6 days per week
•The working environment is remote, confined and isolated, and travel in the local area is very limited
May be subject to undergo a U.S. or NATO country background investigation.
