The great thing about taking the Supervisor Initial is that when you take the Supervisor Refresher in a year, that counts as your annual refresher!

Yes, you'll still need a current Refresher. The Supervisor Initial does not count as your annual refresher even though both are 8 hours. But once you have your initial, you'll only need to take that 1 refresher to meet Standard requirements.

My advice is to get the Supervisor and enjoy the benefits of having it whether you're actually supervising or managing at this point in time. You never know when someone has to be replaced and the company needs someone with the Supervisor.
