Job Title: Team Leader

Master EOD Technician providing leadership, supervision, emergent and routine Explosive Ordnance Disposal response for Naval Weapons Station Earle and 23 Law Enforcement Agencies in the Northeast Region of the United States.

Conducted over 350 EOD operations and training scenarios specializing in Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).

Responsible for training the EOD detachment in Chemical, Biological, Nuclear Emergency Response Procedures, Anti-Terrorism Force Protection, Mine Counter Measures (MCM), Explosive Tools & Techniques, EOD/UXO safety precautions and explosive munitions identification, reporting procedures and disposal.

This encompassed thermal treatment, transportation, storage and accountability of retrograde explosives and associated demolition.

Worked closely with the U.S. Secret Service as a Team leader for multi-service explosive ordnance disposal units and local law enforcement agencies to protect the President, Vice President, and various Heads of State to events throughout the country.

Provided detailed briefings and guidance to law enforcement and public safety officials on protocol for minimizing the risks from explosive devices. Provided training for EOD personnel on procedures for conducting searches and sweeps of buildings, motorcades, railways, piers, vessels and aircraft, to include Air Force ONE.

Selected as the Enforcement, Security, Investigative Employee of the Year FY06 by the Federal Executive Board for the state of New Jersey, for coordinating and conducting 18 Explosive and Explosive Effects, Live Fire Demonstrations to over 1000 Law Enforcement personnel.

Job Title: Lead EOD Instructor

Responsible for the development, maintenance, improvement and delivery of 3,103 hours of curriculum to over 1200 U.S. and international EOD students on a recurring annual basis. As a Subject Matter Expert I am qualified to instruct all classroom and practical field evolutions of training.

Some of my major duties include managing and scheduling daily operations, scheduling daily instructor assignments, completing instructor evaluations/certifications and ensuring the provisions of all applicable safety, curriculum and training were conducted in accordance with Naval Personnel Development Command (NPMC) and Naval School, Explosive Ordnance Disposal command directives and standards.

Provided detailed instruction for EOD staff certifications and EOD students on specialized and highly technical EOD procedures on U.S. and foreign ordnance, to include safety, identification, standard EOD and advanced explosive Render Safe Procedures (RSP) and Disposal.

Praised in Student Critiques as being a professional and knowledgeable instructor that consistently improved curriculum materials and ensured more realistic EOD scenarios providing EOD students with the most detailed and challenging course of instruction for both Officer and Enlisted students from 80 different countries.

Responsible for safeguarding and handling Secret and Classified publications and Classified Components. Counseled students on academic performance and deficiencies, and make recommendations to the Command Academic Review Board as a Subject Matter Expert on their decision to retain or remove an EOD student in training. Command board member for all Senior Explosive Ordnance Disposal qualification boards.

Job Title: Team Leader

Senior EOD Technician, responsible for training, evaluation, logistical support requirements and supervision to EOD mobile and Force Protection Detachments. Responsible for training and certifying EOD detachment members to respond to Surface and Underwater weapons, Anti-Terrorism Force Protection for Naval Vessels, IED’s and WMD’s.

Instructed and evaluated EOD detachments in Chemical/ Biological and Nuclear weapons, Mine Counter Measures, Demolition Operations, Explosive Qualifications Subject Matter Expert (SME) and deployed asset for international training exercises involving participants from the United States, Canada, Australia and Korea.

Achievement Responsible for detailed evaluations and critiques on personnel and operational procedures for all countries involved. Completed post exercise reports to include all observations captured in a complex lessons learned database.

Actively deployed with EOD detachments onboard the USS Nimitz battle group. Directly responsible for all logistical requirements for explosives, aircraft support and all real time EOD operations at sea and ashore. Provided leadership and technical expertise in EOD Mine Counter Measures (MCM) missions, and supervised the disposal of 65,000 lbs. of retrograde explosives and hazardous explosive materials.

Team Leader for EOD Det and MCM, managed all daily training in all EOD missionaries. Additional assignments included working closely with the U.S. Secret Service as a Team Member for multi-service Explosive Ordnance Disposal units and local law enforcement agencies to protect the President, Vice President, and various Heads of State to events throughout the country.
