I have also gotten a fair amount of time behind the MP5SD. The thing to remember about any weapons is that they are purpose built. The weapon carried should be a mission specific choice. The MP5SD in any case is a fine weapon and one of the quietest suppressed weapons I have ever fired (With sub-sonic loads) and you'll never be able to debate it's reliability and accuracy. But it still suffers from the limitations of its caliber. It is an absolutely fine weapon for the low penetration requirements of urban CQB. With a sub-sonic load like the Federal Tactical HST or Hydra-Shok in 147 grain you will have more than adequate stopping power. But when you move away from the CQB arena, then yes there are other better choices of armament.
