Experience
Trained and experienced Combat Engineer with twenty years military experience with the Canadian Armed Forces with one six month UN tour in Iraq/Kuwait and two six month tours in the former Republic of Yugoslavia. As a civilian I have spent eleven months in Northern Iraq as an EOD Supervisor/Trainer, six months as the Mine Clearance Technical Advisor and Trainer for Ethiopia, two months as an MDD team Leader in Afghanistan, fourteen months in Iraq on mobile teams and static bulk demolitions of captured ammunition and I am presently employed as a Technical Field Manager and Location Manager for an EOD Team in Southern Sudan.

Conversant with IMAS.
Technical Advisor for mine clearance/EOD/MDD
Planning and executing mine clearance manually and using MDD.
EOD planning and execution.
Battlefield Area Clearance planning and execution.
Instruction both classroom and in the field for Mine Clearance and EOD
Management and Training of two 87 man Minefield Clearance companies
Management and training of three eight man EOD teams.

Aug 05-Oct 05 EOD Technician for XTECH contracted for underwater clearance of the Ottawa River, Kiska Beach, Petawawa, Ontario. Team Leader responsible for the operation and supervision of four man team including two dredges.

Jul 04-Feb 05 EOD Technician II Buck master Camp Iraq for Armor Group contracted to Environmental Chemical Corporation, bulk demolitions for disposal of captured enemy ammunition.

Feb-Apr 03 Consultant for Demining and EOD Afghanistan, for RONCO. Technical Advisor responsible for Technical Advice in EOD and Demining. Team Leader for a clearance team of four Mine Detection Dogs and four Deminers.

Jun-Dec 02 Consultant for Humanitarian Demining and EOD Ethiopia, Africa for RONCO. Solely responsible for Technical Advise including the clearance of all minefields cleared during my post there as well as the on going training for two eighty-seven-man Demining Companies that worked directly for the Ethiopian Government and the EOD Operations they were involved in. Responsible for the control of an operational budget.

Apr01-Mar 02 EOD Supervisor Northern Iraq for European Landmine Solutions. Responsible for the reconnaissance, identification and safe disposal of all UXO's in the Soran sector. Responsible for the initial training of two EOD teams. The training and development of three established EOD teams in Northern Iraq. Participated in and advised on minefield clearance in Northern Iraq. Trained in minefield clearance in collaboration with dog teams and mechanical clearance.

Apr-Nov 91 Section 2i/c and Troop Safety Rep for UNIKOM in Kuwait/Iraq, 1991, command and control for a Field Section for clearance Ops of all Allied ordinance and Iraq ordinance air dropped or hand placed by both Forces during the conflict.

Jun 75-Sep 75 Sweep team member for the clearance of DZ Anzio, DZ Anzio was a disused artillery range in Petawawa, Ontario.
