Petty Officer Diver
Responsible for assisting/advising the Command on organisational and administrational duties of a team of 30 personnel.
In addition to this in my role as PO EOD I am responsible for the day to day explosive accounting for the team.
• Maintained and developed several management information systems to hold information on personnel data.
• Maintained a management system to track the movements of personnel increasing efficiency of disseminated information by approx 50%
• Liaised with outside agencies to ensure a maintained operational capability of personnel and the team as a whole.
• Conducted regular briefings to senior management to keep them appraised of personnel and equipment resources that were worth in excess of £ 1 million.
Key Achievements
• Established a training package to assist personnel gain an NVQ in EOD and search techniques which produced a more efficient and motivated team.
• Implemented the data recording system that I designed on previous posting thus improving time and quality of explosive accounting forms submitted.

Leading Diver
Responsible for the supervision of compressed air diving operations, which do not require decompression, to a depth of 30m.including the planning and conduct of complex underwater engineering tasks. I am responsible for administration, ensuring correct maintenance schedules are followed, ordering and preparing the team's diving and EOD equipment and stores.
• Training in EOD procedures and am capable of assisting in the preparation and initiation of all naval explosive stores.
• I ran an EOD range used for the disposal of unexploded ordinance recovered by the EOD Team.
Key Achievements
• Designed an explosive accounting report form in Excel format which saved time and money in wasted paper and was awarded £300 under business initiative scheme.
• Became the first Junior Rate to achieved NVQ 3 in search and disposal

Nov 2003 – Mar 2004 Fleet Diving Unit 2
Leading Diver
As a Leading Diver I was responsible for the searching and clearance of explosive devices in the shallow water region (<10m) to clear the pathway for the insertion of troops from the sea.
Key Achievements
• Evaluated the use of underwater sonar systems to assist in the procurement process for the Royal Navy Diver branch.

Acting Petty Officer Diver
Responsible for the day to day Administration and co-ordination of a class of 20 new recruits to the Royal Navy during their initial 8 weeks training phase.
• Teaching, compiling reports on each individual and disciplining should they require it.
