Unexploded Ordnance Technician II

* Conduct surface and subsurface sweeps of a former Iraqi Army ordnance depot for unexploded ordnance, fuses and other explosive hazards.
* Recognize, identify, and determine condition of ordnance, fuses, bulk explosives, and other explosive devices and hazards.
* Destroy all ordnance and other explosive hazards via detonation on a daily basis.

Company Commander
U.S. Army – 760th Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Company

* Lead and trained a 23-man EOD company; maintained care and accountability of $2.7 million in EOD tools, robots, vehicles, and computer systems.
* Completed 374 EOD missions including 78 IEDs, 2 VBIEDs, and 27 post-blast investigations; safely disposed of 190,787 ordnance items during combat operations.
* Investigated 27 post-blast scenes, collected critical evidence; assisted Weapons Intelligence Teams with interpretation and exploitation of forensics.
* Supported and trained Department of Defense forces and state & local law enforcement authorities in four states. Provided support to the U.S. Secret Service and Department of State for protection of the President, Vice-President, and other dignitaries.

EOD Battalion Logistics Officer

* Planned and executed logistical support for seven EOD companies in U.S. and Iraq.
* Maximized $500,000 budget for all units deploying. Developed procurement plans and contracts for U.S. and foreign nation support to provide all units with mission-essential equipment.
* Coordinated inter-service support with Naval EOD Technology Division, Defense Threat Reduction Agency and IED Task Force for testing, evaluation and procurement of additional robotics, thermal imaging systems, and electronic countermeasures.
* Prepared budget justification materials and Operational Need Statements for M998 armor, additional robotic accessories, remote control “Bombots”, and other experimental EOD technologies and resources.

* Coordinated logistical, maintenance, and medical support for the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division; managed seven subject matter experts in five areas of expertise to ensure a synchronized effort and uninterrupted support to combat units.
* Provided information, analysis, and recommended action to the Battalion Commander in all aspects of Brigade support, enabling him to make informed tactical decisions.
* Developed and authored the combat support plan for all major exercises and evaluations within the Brigade.
