SAIC CBRNE Opportunity 2
On-site mid or senior analyst working for the Air Force District ofWashington (AFDW) headquarters at Andrews Air Force Base, MD in directsupport of Counter-Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear andHigh-Yield Explosive (C-CBRNE) operations plans and policy. The positionis funded by HQ Air Force to support AFDW in advancing Air Force C-CBRNEcapabilities. Analyst will participate in a variety of initiatives relatedto countering the CBRNE threat, such as strategic and operationalplanning, identifying C-CBRNE capability requirements, implementing USAFC-CBRNE guidance and concepts of operations, and AF C-CBRNE Master Planand Roadmap activities.Position involves a range of research, analysis, execution,implementation, and staffing activities, as well as significant clientinteraction. Involves an understanding of both U.S. Air Force policy andoperations. Some travel required.Education: Masters Degree desired; Bachelors Degree required, preferablyin political science, national security, disaster prep or related field.Must hold a SECRET clearance.Required Skills: Must be familiar with Headquarters, U.S. Air Force and/orMAJCOM staffing processes. The successful candidate must have a minimum of5 years of defense contracting, Air Force, DoD, Federal Government orrelated work experience. Exceptional writing and research skillsrequired, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas to diverseaudiences. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deal with diverseorganizational interests and sensitivities mandatory. Proficiency withMicrosoft Office products, including PowerPoint and other common softwareapplications, is required.Desired Skills: Understanding of Air Force operations, policies andplanning processes, as well as CBRNE issues, is desired. Experience withdeveloping AF guidance, such as AFI derivatives or operational plans wouldbe beneficial and strong staffing skills a plus.
