SAIC CBRNE Opportunity 1
Analyst and on-site Action Officer working for the Air Force District ofWashington (AFDW) headquarters at Andrews Air Force Base, MD in directsupport of the Counter-Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear andHigh-Yield Explosive (C-CBRNE) Operational Applications Center (COAC).COAC activities include disaster preparedness, emergency management,passive defense, hazard assessment, and consequence management. Analystwill participate in a variety of initiatives related to countering theCBRNE threat, such as strategic planning, identifying C-CBRNE capabilityrequirements, and development of associated concepts of operations, aswell as others. Position involves a range of research, analysis,execution, implementation, and staffing activities, as well as significantclient interaction. Some travel required.Education: Masters Degree desired; Bachelors Degree required, preferablyin political science, national security, disaster prep or relevant sciencefield. Must currently hold a SECRET clearance as a minimum.Required Skills: Must be familiar with staffing processes. The successfulcandidate must have a minimum of 5 years of defense contracting, AirForce, DoD, Federal Government or related work experience. The successfulcandidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills. Musthave the ability to communicate difficult concepts to various audiences.Possess good interpersonal relationship building skills, the ability tolearn and retain new skills and concepts quickly and accomplish tasksunder limited supervision. Candidate must have the ability to handlemultiple and simultaneous tasks in a time-sensitive environment and dealwith diverse organizational interests and sensitivities. Candidate willwork as a contributing team member and must be committed to high qualityperformance and possess strong attention to detail and organizationalskills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPointand other common software applications, is required.Desired Skills: Understanding of Air Force operations, policies/doctrine,Joint and Inter agency processes (particularly within the National CapitalRegion), as well as CBRNE issues, is desired.
