Steve Cassidy - Founder & Managing Partner SGC Group, LLC

A graduate of The Navy's EOD School, Steve Cassidy's background includes Varsity football while attending Tennessee Tech University, working as a financial advisor for the world's largest private bank, UBS and protecting Nashville's rock and country music celebrities since 1984.

As a Navy EOD Technician, Steve received his Secret, Top-Secret, Critical Nuclear Weapons Design Information (CNWDI) and NATO Secret clearances. Steve also received US Secret Service Credentials and served with the USSS on President Clinton's trip to Warsaw, Poland and Madame Secretary Albright's trip to Arafat's headquarters in Ramallah, Palestine as well as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Steve served with NSW (SEAL's) 2 and 8 in capturing Persons Indicted for War Crimes in Sarajevo and as a team member of the Army's C Co, 1st/10th SFG (A) during the Kosovo War. Steve was one of a handful of US Navy EOD technicians trained by the British in Irish Republican Army Tactics and Techniques. He is also a graduate of the Army’s Airborne school in Ft. Benning, an HRST (Air Assault) Master and attended SFARTC prior to his deployment with C Co.

As a civilian, Steve has served as an instructor for the State Departments' Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program - Explosive Incident Countermeasures course in Pakistan and the WRA QRF Weapons Removal and Abatement Quick Reaction Force, an Independent Contractor for Blackwater USA as well as being contracted as an IED Subject Matter Expert validating Improvised Explosive Devices curriculum and Weapons Intelligence curriculum for Blackwater and HMS.

Steve was a certified by the Department of Justice as a Defensive Tactics Instructor, by the American Red Cross as an instructor and by the Navy as an EOD Dive Instructor.

Mr. Cassidy also serves large and publicly traded corporations by conducting security project management for special events and as a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist, CITRMS by setting compliance programs to address laws such as HIPPA, Sarbanse-Oxley and the Graham Leach Bliley Act.

Steve is the proud husband and father of 2 and a member of many civic and networking organizations.
