Michael Weber, Ph.D, CHMM, REM

Michael Weber is An Army combat veteran with over 22 years military service, Mike is a graduate of The Navy's EOD School and numerous military and government courses.

Mike is a graduate of Northwestern College (Oklahoma) with a bachelor’s degree in business. Chadwick University (Alabama) with a Masters degree in Environmental Science and finally Loyola University where he obtained his doctorate in Environmental Health.

Mike retired from the Army in 1990 and has worked in the explosives and WMD field, while attending school for the past 18 years.

As an Army EOD Technician, Mike received Top-Secret, Critical Nuclear Weapons Design Information (CNWDI) Special Compartmental Information (SCI) and NATO Secret clearances. Mike also received DoD Secret Service Credentials and served on numerous USSS protective support details for Presidents, Vice Presidents and various US and foreign government dignitaries.

Mike served with various Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal units through his career, on numerous occasions he was selected to support various Special Forces operations and technical intelligence recovery missions. Mike was also one of the first EOD instructors to develop and design the first “Access and Disablement of Improvised Nuclear Devices” course.

Mike is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, the Army Airborne School and the Air Assault Course. Other training includes:• Defense Hazardous Materials Waste Handling Course, Ft Lee, VA

• Environmental Health Sciences; Principles of Occupational Epidemiology; and Occupational Safety in Industrial Settings

• Hazardous Materials/Waste Management Certificate, Oklahoma State University, OK

As a civilian, Mike formed his own company in 2003 teaching the OSHA HAZWOPER Courses, IED First Responder classes, threat assessment and vulnerability of various companies and processes and various WMD subjects.

Mike’s courses were designed to meet the clients needs, and while ensuring all the OHSA, NFPA, DHS etc requirements were taught, they were taught with a professional degree of first hand expertise and common sense.

Mike also was selected to serve as Technical Safety Specialist on United Nations Biological Warfare Verification Team C-44. He has authored a technical book entitled "Grenades" and technical papers entitled "Environmental Safety and Compliance in Explosive Ordnance Disposal Operations", "Risk Assessment of Chemical and Biological Hazards in UN Peace Keeping Operations" and “Weaponization of Ricin and Anthrax”.

Michael Weber is a qualified Special Forces Anti Terrorism Instructor, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and Registered Environmental Manager. He currently serves as the Science Officer for a State Regional WMD Tactical Team.

When Mike is not working or spending time with his family, he likes to fly fish and write.
